Guilford County Disproportionate Minority Contact Committee (DMC)

Consultants worked with high school students in preparation for a group presentation on the findings of the DMC Sheriff'sCommittee which spent the past year analyzing data provided by Guilford County Schools, Greensboro and High Point police departments, the Guilford County Sheriff's Office, and the juvenile justice system. The committee is charged with researching the overrepresentation of minority youths in Guilford County's juvenile justice system and devising a plan to address the issue. This youth presentation is part of the plan.

Salvation Army Central Unit Boys and Girls Club

Second graders at the Salvation Army Central Unit Boys and Girls Club in Greensboro were treated to a storytelling concert from one of our consultants in February.

Interlink Language Center at UNCG

Consultants facilitate interactive workshops for these students related to culture shock, mock trial, debate, presenting group findings, and basic public speaking delivery skills. Consultants also do one-on-one consultations for these students. This is an on-going project.
