The Speaking Center at UNCG has been integral in my successfully running a communication center and teaching public speaking. Every day I find myself using information I learned or competencies that I developed through my work at UNCG. I find myself telling my students some of the same things that I told speakers who came to see me at the UNCG Speaking Center.

Running the lab on Clemson’s campus has challenged me to put into practice the theories that we learned at UNCG’s Speaking Center in a new environment and with different resources. I value the time that I spent at UNCG as a time where I learned and grew in a way that is invaluable to my current work and life.
