Walking Through Greensboro's Past
The podcast project began in Fall 2006 as a graduate student class project at UNCG. Its purpose was to bring real-world meaning to history readings and lectures and to give students a chance to interpret southern history for the public.

The Sit-in Movement Started in Greensboro
This student protest began on February 1, 1960, when four freshmen at North Carolina Agricultural &Technological sat down at the downtown Woolworth lunch counter on Elm Street and tried to order something to eat and drink.http://www.greensborohistory.org/exhibits/exhibits_sitins.html

Join Kim Cuny for a walk/tour around downtown Greensboro (includes a coffee shop stop bring your $) or Sarah Wilde for fun team building activities. Team building activities will require shoes that one might wear to the gym or on a hike. Both are outside activities, are free to NACC atendees, and will start at the Downtown Marriott. You can sign up for either at the NACC registration table.
