Profile

Erin D. Ellis, M.A. , is a faculty member in UNCG’s Communication Studies Department where she teaches workplace communication (CST 341). She has worked at The University Speaking Center since 2007 and has served as Assistant Director of the Speaking Center since 2011. She has written articles and presented research at numerous conferences which earned her the 2011 National Association of Communication Center’s Ferguson Top Faculty Research Paper.

She recently coauthored the article Catering to customers or cultivating communicators? Divergent educational roles of communication centers published in the International Journal of Humanities and Social Science. Erin’s interests include virtual learning, public speaking, and business communication. She can often be found wondering around campus getting ready to facilitate a workshop.
