After graduating, I moved right into my current position as an RN at UNC Hospitals. The exceptional communication skills I gained from the Speaking Center have helped me every step along the way of my career path, from pre-interview networking with potential employers to my current everyday activities of communicating with patients, doctors, family members, etc. I firmly believe my strong communications skills have increased my value as a nurse exponentially.

My time at the speaking center also strengthened my communication outside of work with family and friends. As an extrovert, I owe so much to the speaking center because my time there continues to impact my life today in many ways.
