While I have many favorite memories from my time at the Speaking Center, there is one experience that stands out. I’ve had a speaker come to the center to work on a speech for their course.

They had multiple consultations with me from organization all the way to their final practice. I enjoyed getting to see this speaker work hard on their assignment and the overall growth they experienced through working on this speech.

This experience reminded me that the Speaking Center is a great tool for students! It has helped many, including this speaker, with not only one assignment, but it gives them tools that they can continue to use through their academic and professional careers.

I have also enjoyed working with our international students on their conversational English. It is so fun to hear about different experiences around the world!
