My favorite Speaking Center story definitely involves Interlink students. These students are non native English speakers with whom I get to interact during consultations and Let’s Talk sessions. My favorite thing to learn from them is that although we are from different parts of the world, we all share similar experiences. I remember a student in particular telling us of his adventures trying to skip school. There were stories where he got away with it and there were stories where he got caught. It is so fun to learn about different cultures from those native to them and to also share some things about my own culture.
