It’s definitely a hard question for me to answer because I enjoyed all my time at the Speaking Center and am looking forward to continuing as a Graduate Assistant. If I had to choose one, I would say when I had the opportunity to write a research paper with another Speaking Center consultant, Hayley Hansen. We presented our paper at the 2022 NACC conference. We ended up winning the Bob and Ann Weiss Undergraduate Paper award! I never would have been able to achieve this without Kim’s, Hayley’s, and Doctor Roy Schwartzman’s help. When Kim approached me with the idea, I almost turned her down because I thought it was something I couldn’t handle. It seemed too intimidating. She gave me the confidence to start writing this paper and I’m so glad that I did. The Center made me into a person who is more confident and comfortable tackling intimidating situations. I’m very grateful to be here!
