About Us
The University Speaking Center provides consultation support and instructional services for UNCG students, faculty, employees, and members of the Greensboro community. Our support is designed to help communicators further develop their own verbal and nonverbal expressions with increased confidence and competence. We provide peer-to-peer feedback, guidance, and other support for creating and sharing meaning in public, interpersonal, and group or team communication. Our work includes supporting digital communication projects such as podcasts. We do not subscribe to a one size fits all philosophy; we never have.

We work with faculty or groups to develop workshops that focus on the oral communication goals they identify. Our workshops provide speaker-centered interactive learning modules on any topic of public, interpersonal, and group communication.
