Instructional Workshops

We develop and facilitate workshops for student audiences at the request of faculty across campus. These workshops serve as in-classroom oral communication faculty development resources for UNCG faculty, who do not already have the support of a course coordinator, helpful department peers with experience, or an education in oral communication.

When faculty members invite us into the classroom to support their teaching, our team of faculty and graduate students works with them to develop a workshop that focus on the oral communication goals identified by the faculty member. Our workshops provide speaker-centered interactive learning modules on any topic regarding public, interpersonal, and group communication.

Workshops for Organizations and the Workplace

We also entertain workshop requests from administrators, staff, student leaders, and members of Greensboro’s non-profit community. While we need to give priority to in-classroom requests, we welcome the opportunity to schedule these programs throughout the year.

Strictly Speaking Workshop Series

Currently our focus for this programming is on Communicating Science.  These open-enrollment workshops are open to all.  Parking is available at UNCG’s parking decks. This campus map might be helpful to those planning to join us. While there is no fee for participation, registration is required.
