We develop and facilitate workshops for student audiences at the request of faculty across campus. These workshops can serve as in-classroom oral communication faculty development resources for UNCG faculty, who do not already have the support of a course coordinator or an education in oral communication.
When faculty members invite us into the classroom to support their teaching, our team of faculty and graduate students works with them to develop a workshop that focus on the oral communication goals identified by the faculty member. We understand that each discipline has their own ways of communicating and so we embrace supporting those specifics. Our workshops provide participant-centered interactive learning modules on any topic regarding public, interpersonal, and group communication.
We can provide a prerecorded workshop. We also can create a Canvas module for faculty use in Canvas. If you are looking for something shorter, we can produce micro-learning videos for use in Canvas.
For more information and to request an oral communication instructional workshop, micro-learning video, or module for Canvas click here!
If you are new to mirco-learning videos, check out the post on our Linkedin page.
We also entertain workshop requests from administrators, staff, student leaders, and members of Greensboro’s non-profit community. While we need to give priority to in-classroom requests, we welcome the opportunity to schedule these programs throughout the year.
Currently our focus for this programming is on Communicating Science. These open-enrollment workshops are open to all. When delivered on campus, parking is available at UNCG’s parking decks. This campus map might be helpful to those planning to join us. While there is no fee for participation, registration is required.
